Which TON DEX is best?
A comparison between existing TON Decentralized Exchanges (DEX)
Original Source
There are currently 4 active DEXs on the TON blockchain.
TonSwap @TonSwapOfficialBot by @Mint_xyz
StonFi by @stonfidex
Which one should you trade with?
We'll start by stating the obvious: Competition leads to better products for users.
Let's see how the DEXs compare on the following metrics:
1️⃣ Trading fees
2️⃣ Default slippage
3️⃣ Liquidity
4️⃣ Number of tokens available for trade
5️⃣ Tokenomics
6️⃣ Transparency
7️⃣ Wallet Connectivity
Trading Fees
1️⃣ Trading Fees - This is the commission paid to the DEX for each trade.
Lower is better for users
TonSwap - 0.3%
StonFi - 0.4%
DeDust - 0.5%
Tegro - 0.5%
Default slippage
2️⃣ Default slippage tolerance - how bad is the actual price going to be when the trade is executed compared to the quote user sees before approving it.
Lower is better for users
TonSwap - 0.5%
StonFi - 0.5%
DeDust - 10.0%
Tegro - 5.0%
Liquidity
3️⃣ Liquidity, aka TVL (Total Value Locked) - higher is better because it means trades will suffer less of a price impact.
Tonswap < $100k
StonFi ~ $500k
Dedust > $250k
Tegro < $100k
Number of Tokens
4️⃣ Number of tokens available for trade - more is usually better because it indicates the platform is censorship resistant
Tonswap - 15
StonFi - 8
Dedust - 10
Tegro - 7
Has its own token?
5️⃣ Has token? A project can use its token as an incentive for liquidity providers and traders, but also to pump and dump.
Tonswap - No. Planned
StonFi - No. Planned
Dedust - Yes. $SCALE
Tegro - Yes. $TGR
Open Source
6️⃣ Open Source - an open source project is generally (but not always) safer because anyone can examine it for bugs and vulnerabilities
TonSwap - Yes. github.com/tonswap
StonFi - No. Planned
DeDust - No. Planned
Tegro - No. Planned
Non-custodial Wallet connectivity
7️⃣ Wallet Connectivity
TON is currently dominated by wallets which lack in user safety features, the exception being TonSafe which features great safety and integrity.
Unfortunately all DEX are not yet using one open standard to allow any TON wallet to be connected easily and safely.
There is currently work to make one open source standard TON Connect 2.0 however this still requires an open source universal TON Connect bridge.
Hopefully this will be addressed to make it simple to connect “TON Wallet” which will open whichever TON wallet the user has, without being confronted yet again by inadequate TON wallet monopolies.
Choose your trading partner (DEX) and wallet carefully, and always remember to do your own research!
